I have managed to get my hearts to 'top' stage.
After my inspirational trip to Quiltville in Germany :-), I have been on a bit of a UFO mission. Hence the state of my sewing table:
Slowly, slowly it's looking a bit like Spring around here...
The temperatures don't feel like it though...
...and the mornings are still quite frosty.
While in Germany, I had the good fortune to attend the Black Forest Quilter's Guild meeting which hosted another Trunk Show with Bonnie.

I also had the opportunity to briefly look in on the BFQG 'Virginia Bound' course with Bonnie the next day...

It was wonderful seeing everyone's colour choices. All so different...

While visiting other special German friends on their farm... my friend pulled out a quilt I had made absolutely yonks ago (at least 12 years!!!) using a panel. (shame on me!!)
These friends also have a farm shop. At this time of year they sell these coloured boiled eggs...
They also sell their own regular eggs, their own meat...
Their own home-made beverages...
and all sorts of other farm produced products.
So that should conclude my German photos :-) I certainly enjoyed my trip.

It's funny, it must be the aftermath of the Quiltville atmosphere... I'm also on a Ufo mission (plus a crumbs stash depletion). I tried to do some machine quilting tonight but my machine wouldn't hear of it. So I'm leaving it at that for tonight.
The little bears are adorable :-) and one's got to start somewhere...
My grandma used to colour eggs the same way, and we did that together during the holidays. And we buy eggs, bread, brioches and jams at the farm in our village - it looks very much like the one in your pictures ! (though your friends seem to have a wider variety of products). When you pay another visit, if you have some time to spare in Alsace, you will be welcome at my place.
And I enjoyed your trip, too! The photos and descriptions were great. This is probably about the closest I will ever get to Germany, so thank you!

Sounds like you made the most of every second!! I'm getting a trip away too next weekend... a school trip to France with 80 or so 12 year old girls... Am optimistically packing a new crochet project! Glad to see you had such a great time.

Wonderful. All those polka dots makes me want to add even more to my stash (no, stop me!) So wonderful you got the chance to visit with the German quilters and Bonnie. woohoo. I love the color on those dyed eggs.
The coloured eggs are so shiny and bright. Is it still looking like spring?
