My local village craft group organised a trip
to the tiny village of Hardraw, near Hawes,
to visit Andrea Hunter at her studio:
we could not have picked a better day for it.
Not only is the countryside beautiful,
but Andrea's original felt artworks
are awe-inspiring...

who kindly demonstrated her technique
and had us all in amazement!
She (and my fellow crafters)
kindly allowed a little Kalico to see what was going on...
(until luckily she fell asleep in her buggy!!!)

Her work (and her studio!) is gorgeous! Of course I am partial to pictures with sheep in them....
An outing with like-minded friends is always good, and learning something new is a bonus!
Did you buy a felt sheep artwork? And I'm not forgetting about your sheep project. Plans are hatching. And whatnot. It's not going to be made any time in the next few weeks, but I am thinking about it!
I visited this lady's studio when up that way on holiday probably 8 or 9 years ago - beautiful work - just LOVE LOVE LOVE those little sheep pictures - they just capture Yorkshire to me - so gorgeous - thanks for sharing
On picture number two, are these fences that are all around and up on the hill, and if so are they made of stone?
