Thank you Ladies!!
I guess that is what this post is about. Thanks. I am so very honoured to be part of such a generous and lovely community of bloggers, quilters and friends. At times I have wanted to give up this blog, I have never wanted to give up sewing, but blogging maybe. I am not sure why I blog. At first it was to record family life for us and the SA family alongside my sewing, but then I realised that my Mother never got a chance to read my blog and the sewing probably bores my brother stiff so he doesn't read it either. So then I thought I'd just blog about my sewing, and bore off the rest of them LOL, but I sew so much. Everyday! and it's not always that interesting especially if I have the odd craft market coming up or if I'm just sewing curtains or repairs or finishing something I started years ago...
I do like to record the momentus finishes and the little stitches though,
but I worry that I am just wasting blog space with it all. So I am going to have a little think about this blog and try and decide what direction it should take. Ultimately it is for me, but through it I have met some lovely people and I have enjoyed the company so much...
I have been spoilt rotten again lately by bloggers and friends!

I would have blogged the winner yesterday, but I managed to overdo it in the garden and I have been feeling a bit rubbish ever since. I am taking it easy now, but feel a little shaken. I guess I was getting used to crutching around like a maniac and forgot my limits for a minute :-(

Now come on - you know as well as I do that once that mummy gets up all that bulk is miraculously worked on by gravity and she looks a whole lot slimmer :o) I'm loving your Carolina Lilies - note to self 'send Nige into the loft to bring down my red and dark green boxes for a rummage for you'
I think we all wonder why we blog at some point. But I can tell you that as long as even ONE person reads my boring posts and comments, I will continue to do it! I remember my first weeks of blogging with NO-ONE reading it. Talk about talking to the walls! I have also made some great friends and love visiting their blogs, just reading what they are making and sharing their lives, not only the creative parts. Hope you decide to keep on blogging as I certainly enjoy reading yours!
Not sure who the big fat mummy is, but it's certainly not true! I see a slim mummy carrying lots of potential (wool) there!
In a lot of ways blogging has substituted for my quilt and craft magazine reading. I think at least 75% of my new projects are directly influenced by something I see on a blog so if for no other reason than that blogging is good...but the quilters I've "met" from all over the world is an even better reason!

No matter what direction you decide to go with your blog, I hope you will continue to write SOMETHING. I love reading your posts, no matter what they contain!
I know what you mean about blogging and whether to keep it going or not..I often think that, but then I remember the friends and support I've had through blogging and it all seems worthwhile. And I love the give and take that goes on..I know I can inspire and I'm inspired 10 fold back by the talent out there.
I hope you won't give it up completely, I love hearing your news and connecting with you and sharing our mutual ups and downs. Your friendship has been one of the best discoveries I've had through blogging.
Well don't give up! You are very inspiring and I have learned something new from you! I hope you continue...and by the way...LOVE the sheep photo...and I too can see my own reflection (and I've got more on me than you!) Take it easy today. Don’t we all wonder at times why we keep on blogging. But, when I‘ve read a post like yours today, you’ve put a smile to my face again and I know why I keep on going! We all do. We get inspired, happy and sometimes frustrated by all we see on other blogs...LOL!
Did you know that when Mother Sheep gets on her feet all her fatness had disappeared because she was just overdressed in her woolly outfit!

I love your blog more than any other, so don't change! I agree with the comment re magazines - I find the blogs much more refreshing and inspiring, and less 'consumerist'. By the way, I have found three red on red fabrics - do you still need more?
