I made this Minecraft tablet case for my son's birthday.
He unwrapped it and said:
"Ah it's Steve",
So apparently this is Steve from Minecraft.
One is never too old to learn!!
This time, I did all of it on my machine,
no last minute hand stitching any seams
and I rounded the corners of the flap to give it a better shape.
I also baked a cake.
Can you spot the number '9'?
I would like to be all caked out,
but my husband and daughter's birthday's are up next!
Miss Kalico is hoping for a purple princess party
(as one does when one is 3 going on 4!)

Well done Mom!
Another successful project! I can see the nine on the cake - which looks delish btw! All that aside, I couldn't believe my eyes when I read your little miss will be 4! seems like yesterday you were posting pics of her as a lil' baba! They grow way too fast!
me again! thanks for linking up at Bits'nBobs. I have another link party at Cath@Home starting today for recipes/meal plans....if you are interested!
It's nice to be able to make a gift that is useful and fits in with a kid's interests, well done. I always remember Miss Kalico's birthday because it's the same as mine!
Sounds like Steve was a hit!
That is a very fun cake, too.
Oh, a purple princess party!! Am I invited?!?
What a fun gift. My DT didn't get into Minecraft, so I'm very uneducated about that particular game. Very fun cake, lots of chocolate so it's perfect in my book.
