Laura & Sam's Wedding (& Quilt)

On Saturday we went to a family wedding...

It was held on The Fruit Mount
in the very beautiful RHS Wisley Gardens....
A beautiful bride.....

A gorgeous setting...

Stunning roses....

(metal ones on gates too!)

And a few very hot children!

Walking down the fruit mount,
we saw apples and beautiful greenery....

and glimpsed two of the 'Kalico kids' playing so nicely together....

We even got a decent pose out of madam!

Wearing the fascinator I made to match her dress....

We all enjoyed this very special day...

And we enjoyed wandering around the gardens after the ceremony....

Lots to see...

And the view from above is very relaxing
I believe ;o)

Flowers to make me homesick....
 I love these lilies...

And lush Bottlebrushes...

*****
At the reception, I was lucky enough to be entrusted with a 5 week old baby
He was a cutie....
I really enjoyed the baby snuggles!

The reception was held in the couple's garden...

One of my boys snapped this of Laura's dog
(from under the table - great shot!)

A lovely day was had by all!

*****
Here's another pic of Miss-Kalico's hair fascinator...
(she had her bag packed and trundled it around for days
in anticipation of our trip!)

*****
And another picture of the quilt I made....
I used 5 inch squares so it came up relatively large
considering it's only 3 blocks by 3 blocks.

It was backed with 'bicycle' fabric
and the song went through my head of 'Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do...'
as I was quilting it :o)

'We' (Miss Kalico & I) took the photos of the quilt in our garden...

And that is the 'end' of such a long post!!

The garden looks marvelous, and the fascinator is darling. My oldest loves to pack and trundle the suitcase about for days before a trip too!

Looks like the wedding was in a lovely location.
I love the shots of Miss-Kalico. The ones with the rosy cheeks are so precious. And the polka dotted cheeks photo is pretty cute, too. : )
What a great wedding quilt. I think I need to file that away in my "ideas for quick quilts" file (which isn't poorly named, since no quilt is truly quick to make).

Fab photos - so cute of your littlest, but lovely of all little Kalicos!
Super quilt too, I'm sure that it was well received!
Wisley ooks like a lovely place for a wedding - especially in the sunshine!

Love the last (end) photo. What a cutie. The quilt is great. I think I may make one of those.
